But in the mean time, Mr. Zack has been keeping himself busy. He finished up school on June 13th and hasn't looked back. We just received a text photo of his report card this weekend and he finished up 4th grade pretty damn good. He got all A's, B's and one C, and in my book, that is pretty awesome. He had the same grades all year too.
He is playing some summer sports. Zack is in a golf league that meets every Friday and he competes with other kids in his age group for the best score. He did it last year and he liked it so much, he's doing it again this year. He is also playing baseball for the first time on a team. Zack is pretty excited since his team is the Washington Nationals (which he can say he plays for the Major League team). He was playing soccer too, but we haven't heard much about it for some time now, so I'm not sure if that is over or he just lost interest.
Besides playing sports, he is keeping himself busy with friends and swimming in his backyard pool (must be nice, huh?!?!).
We don't get much more out of him on the weekly phone calls. You know 10 year olds with the one work answers to everything (How was school this week? OK, Did you learn anything new? Yeah, What did you learn about? Stuff).
Now we are starting to make our travel plans for the July visit and then we will move onto activities. So, if anyone knows of any fun activities in the Roanoke, VA area please let me know. We are open to all and any family ideas. Thanks!
