Yikes! Time does fly when you are taking care of a newborn. I can't believe I only have two weeks left of my 6 week maternity leave. I could take the whole 12 weeks, but I am only paid for the first 6 weeks. The second half I'd have to use my vacation time and I have to save those days for our Zack visits.I wish there was away to be able to stay home with Drew, but financially there is no way. Also, I'd have to fight my husband for the ability to stay home. He's already volunteered to stay home with Drew if either one of us had an opportunity to do so.
I know these two weeks will fly by, as the past 4 weeks have, but I am going to enjoy every moment I can.

Women in Canada find it hard to go back after our year off, I cant imagine what it must be like to go back after 6 weeks. Good luck!

I agree with Cherish we're wondering how we can go back after a year (Baby having a birthday and everything!) I don't know how 6 weeks must ..b..e... sucks! Baby only 6 weeks old, wow really does put things in perspective.
Ps. Not many guys volunteer to stay home :D
