He is starting his own little hat collection. Drew is so adorable when he wears a hat and he loves it. He occasionally takes his hat off, but for the most part he leaves it on to bring his cuteness up a notch.

Happy Thanksgiving
Today is the day to give thanks. Everyday should be a day to show how grateful you are about those around you, but I won't pass up a great holiday to celebrate that includes pumpkin pie.
I am grateful for my wonderful family who has assisted us through many things, big and small.
I am grateful for my beautiful little boy who has blessed our family this year.
I am grateful for a wonderful husband, who is a devoted father and husband.
I am grateful for friends who care.
I am also grateful for those baby items that have helped us out so far-
Desitin Diaper Cream
Disposable Diapers
Exasauser
Blue's Clue's
Little People CD
Car Seat Wedge
Pre-made baby food
Cell phone camera (ok its not a baby item, but its used for the baby)
Nursery Rhymes and songs
and many other covenant products!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Timeline Post-Poned
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, this weeks timeline Thursday has been post-poned. Next week will have double the pleasure of seeing Drew entertaining his mother for the sake of a daily photo.

Day After Thanksgiving
Who out there will brave the crowds to get a deep discounted item next Friday? Anyone? Anyone?
Well, I won't be out there at 3am or 4am or 5am, but I'll be out and about next Friday with other folks getting into the holiday spirit.
Only, I'll be out there looking for the annual Christmas Bear my Grandfather collects since my Grandmother started collecting them years before she passed away. We still go out looking for the dressed up bear with the current year on his/her foot. My Grandpa has them piled on a spare bed in his office in memory of my Grandma. So, of course I have to help him search for this years bear!
Last year we had to go to several Wal-Marts to look for the specific bear. I hope this year, we just have to go to one store and she (this year it'll be the girl bear out of the pair) will be sitting there waiting for us to pick her up!!
After we find the bear, we'll walk around one of the many malls in the area and my Grandpa will people watch. He doesn't like going in the stores so he sits on a bench in the mall's hallway and observes all the individuals that walk past him. When I return to him after I've looked in a store, he has a full report of who walked by him and how strange it is that everyone has a cell phone.
But, its our day after Thanksgiving tradition and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Its a fun time with Grandpa and I'm always interested in hearing his interpretation of the world passing him by while we are at the mall.

Just Breath
Yesterday, was the farthest I've been away from Drew. I was an hour and half away from him at one point. If anything happened to the little guy, I would have to drive back a long distance before I could be by his side. Its not like our usual day distance, when he's in day care he is 6 minutes away from me. When he's at my house with Grammie, he is 14 minutes away from me.
I had accompanied my FIL for a follow-up appointment in the Boston area yesterday. We make this trek often ever since his liver transplant almost 4 years ago.
So, Drew was left with Grammie at my house, no problem with that. It was just the thought of how much distance was between the little guy and me. I think I handled it well being my first time. When we arrived at the clinic and I did call to check on him, but I only did that once. I think it was because I was so focused on my FIL's appointment and I knew Drew was in good hands so I'm sure it helped ease the anxiety.
At the end of the day, my FIL had a great appointment, Drew survived being so far away from mommy (like he even knew) and I didn't speed (too much) to get home.

What a little man!
My little boy is growing up so fast! He is 7 months old today. Wow, did that last month fly by or what?!?
Drew is growing up so fast, he looks like a little man already. He was dressed up in a sweater, carpenter pants and sneakers for his big cousins birthday party and I almost cried because he looked so grown-up (and so darn cute).
His first tooth is popping through this past week. We are exploring anything to make him comfortable these days while hes awake (and sleeping).
He has mastered rolling over both ways, tipping over his toy basket, starting to get into mischief around the living room, working on pushing his upper body up (prepping for crawling) and working on giving us kisses.
I love it when he puts both hands on your checks and pulls your face closer and plants an open mouth "kiss" on your cheek, near your mouth or on your nose.
What a cutie-patutie!

Thanksgiving Fever
I am getting really excited for this years Thanksgiving holiday. The scheduling is all coming together, I can't wait to see Zack, my family and its Drew's first.
We are going to my Aunts house in Maryland for dinner and she can cook up some yummy food. We usually eat at my Grandpa's with ordered food from a local restaurant and heat it up. Its not bad, but I can't wait to have her home cooked meal. We are in charge of dessert, so I have ordered two pies (apple & pumpkin) from my work's bakery. I am already thinking of sinking my teeth into a slice of that delicious pumpkin pie. We had a sample of the apple pie yesterday at lunch time and it was so mouth watering delicious. It definitely helped get you in the mood for Turkey dinner.
My parents will be joining us for the holiday this year too. They usually stay home and visit other family for dinner, but its exciting to have them join us this year.
Zack won't make it to our area on time for dinner, but we will get him Thursday night through Saturday. I can't wait for him to see all the new tricks his little brother can do. Zack is so amazed by Drew, its so heart warming to experience.

Stroller Recall
The Maclaren company has a major stroller recall in the US. If you have a Maclarn Umbrella stroller, please read the information on the recall since the company will provide a " kit to cover the stroller's hinge mechanism, which poses a fingertip amputation and laceration hazard to the child when the consumer is unfolding/opening the stroller".
Thanks For Everything You Do
Thank you to all of those men and women who are currently serving and those who have served in all of the various military branches.

Tropical Heat Wave
So, its not an official heat wave or even tropical, but its so warm outside. This past weekend was beautiful outside and it lasted through today. After tonight the temperatures are suppost to drop into lower numbers, but it was great while it was here. Its hard to believe it's November and its so warm.
We couldn't pass the early fall like weather up this weekend, so we took several walks and played outside. Since it was still so nice, I decided to let my mom and Drew venture around my work today. Alot of people around campus have been requesting to see the little guy, so why not take advantage and let my mom stroll Drew around campus to visit with everyone.
So, mom and Drew departed my vehicle and made their way around from 8am-just about noon. I was so worried that Drew would get bored being in his carriage and be a handful for my mom, but he proved me wrong. He loved watching, studying and meeting all of these new people. When he was ready to move on, he'd give my mom a cue and they would make their way to the next department. My mom said he was fantastic and I was so pleased. Never mind everyone being so excited to see him.
It was a perfect way to make the best out of such wonderful weather.

Clap, Clap, Clap
There is a new sound in our household that started this weekend. Its the faint sound of little hands clapping together.
Drew learned to clap his hands all by himself. His Grandpy taught him this new trick. They have been working on this task for a couple of weeks now, and now the little guy can do it all by himself. He is still learning when to clap his hands, but when those arms are waving around crazy, random clapping takes place. Its adorable.
Also, his other Grandpa taught him how to stick out his tongue and make raspberry's. Let me tell you, those are none stop too. More the raspberry's then the tongue sticking out, but its so cute to hear that little noise coming out of a 6 1/2 month old.
Now the next task, how to clap his hands and make raspberry's at the same time!!

Winner, Winner.....Chicken Dinner!
Ok, don't mind me. We say winner, winner...chicken dinner at home all the time when we feel like we've won something. Its a line from the movie "21".
But, I'd like to announce the winners from my little Thankful give-a-way. I only had two people enter and I felt weird randomly picking a name from two entry's so both Everyday Bailey & Chilly's World won! Yeah!!
Please email me at princessmagggie@yahoo.com (ok, don't make fun of my email name too much) and let me know where I should send your little Thanksgiving surprise too.

Yummy, Yummy, Yummy in my Tummy, Tummy, Tummy!
Cereal and fruit are a popular item in my household now-a-days. Well, at least for Drew. He has caught on and really seems to enjoy eating like a big boy.
It wasn't easy in the beginning. At first he would refuse to eat what substance I tried to put in his mouth, since he had no idea what I was trying to do. I attempted many different combo's on how he would like his meal. I tried cereal, with some formula and fruit. I tried cereal, juice and fruit. I tried just cereal. I tried just fruit. None were winners. But he would nibble.
Then, it was time to try cereal and fruit at day care. I told his teacher what we were running into, he would try a couple of bites then refuse to open his mouth other then making him smile and try to feed him that way. His teacher tried cereal, juice and fruit but heated it up and BINGO! It was the combo I didn't even think of trying.
Now, we love eating off a spoon (even sometimes he trys to help guide the spoon into his mouth). We are having fun exploring what fruits he likes and dislikes.
He has discovered how to do raspberry's and he likes to do them while he's eating! That always makes feeding time fun. We have discovered a little tune he likes to hear while he eats and that is Yummy, Yummy, Yummy in my Tummy, Tummy, Tummy. He smiles, but there is no sneaking the food in anymore. Yeah!

Let's Eat Cake
The other day, my wonderful husband surprised me with a little treat. He knows the way to my heart. It isn't diamonds, it isn't a lavish trip, it isn't a large shopping trip. Its a lovely dessert.
I love dessert and he knows it. I admire who ever made up that saying, life is short.....eat dessert first.
So, Jeff surprised me with a delicious lemon cake slice from our favorite bakery near his work. He had a half a day last Friday and he decided to surprise me with my most favorite thing. I was so pleased, it made my day. Yummy!

5 Years Old
Its already been 5 years since the day you were born. I remember the first time I laid eyes on my beautiful niece Ally. She was so cute and perfect in every way. When Uncle Jeff, Grandpy and myself heard the news that she had finally arrived, we left work and went right to the hospital to meet Miss Ally. Ever since then, its been a great adventure with her in all of our lives.
I cannot believe that she is 5 years old already. She does have the spunk, attitude and fun imagination as a teenager (already), but she is still a shy, caring and a thoughtful little girl wrapped in a beautiful package.
The only thing is, this year for her birthday, she is home with the flu. She had bad luck last weekend and this weekend with her birthday parties (and trick-or-treating). The first party was with her classmates and the parents weren't too responsible with rsvping. So needless to say, there was a low turn out with Ally asking why didn't everyone come? Then we found out on Friday night that she has the flu and will not participating in anything this weekend.
I hope she gets better soon! We hope to recreate Halloween when she feels better and have a fun time giving birthday gifts to the birthday princess! Until then......
